Substitute Building CustodianThe position of the Substitute Custodian has been established to provide on-call assistance in maintaining the physical school structures and grounds in a condition of operating excellence to ensure full educational use at all times.Essential functions include cleaning restrooms and locker/shower areas, emptying trash and garbage containers, following safety and health standards, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, dusting, notifying supervisors about repairs, cleaning snow, ice, and debris from sidewalks, assisting other custodians, and performing all other duties as assigned.Qualifications and skills include a high school degree or equivalent, three to six months related experience and/or training, willingness to work a flexible schedule, good organizational skills, and a valid driver's license.Physical demands include frequently using hands to finger, handle, or feel, standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling. Employees must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
