Quick Facts Location: 800 East 28th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55407 Start Date: 07/13/2026 Duration: Approximately 90 days (with possibility to extend) Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours (08:00 – 16:30) Hours per Week: 40 hours Employment Type: Contract/Locum Licensure: Minnesota licensure OR IMLC accepted Experience: Board-certified in Oncology and Hematology, with inpatient medical oncology experience Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $463.13/hour Benefits include: Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2 employment) Paid sick time (per applicable laws) Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements as applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated team support from VHS What You’ll Do Lead and supervise the medical oncology team, including APPs and support staff Manage inpatient malignant and benign oncology cases, with a patient volume of 20-25 per day Conduct all new inpatient consults and oversee same-day documentation for inpatient and outpatient services Perform special procedures related to oncology, including both malignant and benign cases Participate in overnight remote call (8-10 hours) with minimal call frequency, primarily handling oncology-specific calls Collaborate with hospital support teams at United Hospital, Abbott Northwestern, and Mercy Hospital What You Need Required: Minnesota medical license or IMLC qualification Board certification in Oncology and Hematology Inpatient medical oncology experience Privileges at United Hospital, Abbott Northwestern, and Mercy Hospital Preferred: Experience supervising APPs and multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with hospital inpatient services and oncology procedures About the Assignment This position involves covering inpatient medical oncology services at a well-regarded hospital in Minneapolis.
