OTR HazMat Company driver (W-2) Job in Des Moines, IA by HMD Trucking

Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- Hazmat endorsement
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying
Benefits
- CPM $0.65 base + $0.10 CPM safety/productivity bonus
- +$0.02 CPM when hauling hazmat
- $2,500 sign-on bonus
- Home time: 2 weeks out, 2 nights home

- Empty Miles: Paid at the same CPM as loaded miles
- Detention Pay: $25 per hour after the first 2 hours
- Layover Pay: $175 for every 24 hours
- Orientation Pay: $150
Deliver HAZMAT freight coast to coast from Des Moines, IA in HMD Trucking’s newest tractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate late-model trucks equipped with APUs, inverters, and sleepers
- Follow all hazmat handling protocols and maintain clear logs
- Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections
What We Offer:
- Base pay of 65 CPM plus 2 CPM for hazmat hauls
- Weekly mileage around 2,500 miles with safety, inspection, and referral incentives
- Home every other week; health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k) benefits
