Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Newark, Delaware

A specialized role is available for a Lead Pharmacist in Charge based onsite at a home infusion pharmacy in New Castle, DE. This direct hire opportunity involves overseeing complex and specialty infusion therapies to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a medically advanced pharmacy environment.


Position responsibilities include:

• Providing clinical support by managing specialty therapies and delivering drug information to patients and healthcare providers
• Compounding and dispensing complex medications with a focus on infusion therapies
• Coordinating patient care with physicians, nurses, and insurance providers to facilitate medication delivery and administration
• Educating patients on medication use, potential side effects, and self-administration methods relevant to home infusion treatment
• Maintaining compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations, managing accurate patient records, and ensuring safety standards are met

Ideal candidates will hold a Delaware pharmacist license, with the expectation to obtain other state licenses as needed (licensure costs covered). Experience with CareTend pharmacy system is a plus. A minimum of 2-3 years of infusion pharmacy experience is required, with prior pharmacist in charge or managerial experience in an infusion setting highly preferred.


Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
