Sterling County Nursing Home in located in 309 5th St, Sterling City, TX 76951 provides short- and long-term nursing and rehabilitation services to the senior population in our community and surrounding communities. Our therapy department is fully in-house and provides therapists/assistants with flexibility. Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement the Occupational Therapy plan of care for facility residents and short-term patients.

· Provide supervision, as needed, for staff Occupational Therapy Assistants in delivery of the OT plans of care.

· Assist as needed with patient screenings for the need for Occupational Therapy.

· Communicate progress and any barriers toward OT goals with interdisciplinary team members.

· Complete timely OT documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, and payor requirements.

· Assist with maintaining both the rehab gym equipment and treatment area in a safe manner, using good infection prevention methods.

· Provide and document patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each OT patient’s specific plan of care and recommendations for follow up.

 

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Current Texas licensure
