Bakery Associate

The Bakery Associate helps support daily bakery operations in a Queens retail setting by preparing, packaging, displaying, and replenishing baked goods for customers. Common duties include stocking cases, labeling items, maintaining cleanliness in work and sales areas, rotating products for freshness, assisting with basic food handling tasks, and responding to customer requests in a courteous manner. The position may also involve light preparation work such as measuring ingredients, portioning dough or finished items, and following established procedures for food safety and product presentation. Good communication, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently with a team are important qualifications. Prior bakery, food service, grocery, or retail experience is useful, but candidates with solid work habits and a willingness to learn may also be considered. Physical demands can include standing for long periods, frequent bending or reaching, and lifting or carrying moderate items.
