Shady Grove Medical Center Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Security Officer for our Security Services department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Responsibilities Ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, visitors, physicians, and volunteers. Communicate effectively with security, staff, and the public to achieve quality outcomes for the security department. Conduct foot patrols of the facility and parking areas. Conduct vehicular patrols of the parking areas and off‑site locations. Assist with restraining violent patients. Use time and resources in a financially responsible manner. Foster group cohesiveness within the security department. Portray a positive image of the organization. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous security experience, preferably in a hospital setting. Must possess a U.S. driver’s License. Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Must be able to respond to physically demanding emergency calls. Work Schedule Employment Type: Full‑time Hours per Week: 40 hours per week Typical Daily Schedule: 4:00 pm to 12:30 am Shift Type: Evening Shift Holiday Requirements: Follow the company holiday calendar Pay Range $19.21 - $24.90 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
