Description - What You'll Do

• Conduct both routine and advanced laboratory tests across various disciplines such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology, adhering strictly to established protocols.
• Evaluate test results for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance on laboratory instruments.
• Assist with the collection of specimens and prepare samples as required.
• Thoroughly document all laboratory procedures, mentor new staff or students, and contribute to maintaining high lab quality standards.
• Ensure the workspace is clean and safe, following regulatory and accreditation guidelines at all times.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) obtained within the first year of employment.
• Maintain current certification throughout employment.
