About Salem Warehouse
Salem Warehouse is a branch of The Distribution Center that delivers tires to nine local stores. We receive trailers Monday through Friday from the DC that we use for our inventory. We also serve as a transfer point for other local stores that may need a tire sooner than their once-a-week shipment. We are responsible for stocking our inventory and supporting the movement of requested tires to the stores.

Position Overview
Our morning starts out with unloading our replenishment trailer and separating our store drops. These stores will be contacted and told they have tires to pick up.

We hand-stack the tires onto pallets, which are then removed by a forklift and set aside until we are ready to stock the product. Our replenishment trailers can vary in the number of tires and codes, so we group codes on pallets to facilitate stocking. Tires can also vary in size, so we use our professional judgment to ensure the tires are secure on the pallet without overhanging, and we use a squeeze forklift for large tires to reduce strain.

After we have finished unloading the trailer, we pull the stores' orders using an Order Picker. This requires you to be on and off your equipment frequently, as well as the physical labor of moving and stacking the product onto pallets while you assemble orders.

The tires on the pallets are counted and labeled for the stores they were pulled for, then taken to the loading docks, where they are staged for pickup and transfer.

Daily Operations
Warehouse team members process incoming orders, pull inventory, stage orders for pickup, and finish putting away tires.

At the end of each shift, all team members assist in cleaning the warehouse to ensure a safe and professional work environment.

Work Environment
This position involves:

• Unloading and stocking tire inventory

• Hand-stacking tires onto pallets

• Operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts and Order Pickers

• Frequent on-and-off equipment use

• Physical labor, including moving and stacking tires

• Loading and unloading trailers and staged orders

• Warehouse cleaning and maintenance duties

Schedule
Monday through Friday, temporary (Approx six weeks, July through August)
