ICU Registered Nurse (RN)An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.Shift DetailsShift Length: 12 hoursScheduled Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekends: Required on Saturdays and SundaysUnit DescriptionUnit Type: ICU (Intensive Care Unit)Number of Beds: 33 beds, with an average daily census of 16Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:2-3 for adultsCommon Diagnoses: Includes trauma, cardiac issues, overdose/substance abuse, adult sepsis, post-stent care, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress.Common Drips: Titration of cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and assess patients in critical condition.Titrate medications as per protocols.Read, interpret, and document telemetry strips.Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.Utilize and troubleshoot respiratory equipment such as vents and BiPap.Participate in unit and departmental orientation and training sessions.QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 2 years in an ICU setting.Certifications: Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.Education: Current RN license required.Nail Policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments.Additional InformationFloating to PCU or MedSurg may occur, maintaining the same patient ratio.Two holidays are required during the contract period.One shift of unit-specific orientation is provided.RNs must pass a skills exam during orientation.No blocked scheduling is guaranteed; requests considered on a limited basis.If you are passionate about providing exceptional patient care in a challenging environment, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.Client Details City Kearney State NE
