Team Member Job Description

• To exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment.

• To follow company policies and display conduct expected of MEHP employees as described in the employee handbook.
• Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures of MEHP to provide for a safe and healthful workplace. Work in a safe manner at all times and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor in order that the situation can be corrected. Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur.
• To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of MEHP.

Team Member Job Responsibilities

• Participate in continuous improvement programs and activities.
• Report any accident, injury, or near miss to your team leader immediately and report any unsafe work conditions in the workplace.
• Strive to meet or exceed departmental performance objectives on a daily basis as directed by the Team Leader.
• Perform all work within the guidelines of the control plan to ensure parts quality and customer satisfaction.
• May generate special or hazardous wastes in the course of their duties and must follow all work instructions that explain the handling of special and hazardous wastes.
• Maintain a clean work area and report any malfunctioning equipment to the Team Leader on a daily basis.
• Perform assemblies and other job functions per work guidance sheets.
• Return all tools to proper storage area at the end of the shift.
• Record and report all data required to maintain daily production records and submit the data to the Team Leader for input into the Highland Park data collection system.
• Direct all non-conforming parts to the appropriate reprocess area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the production Team Leader.

Team Member Job Requirements

• Ability to read, write and speak English effectively along with basic mathematical skills required.
• Previous assembly experience preferred.
• This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of eight (8) hours a day, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis, and the ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the shoulders on an occasional basis.
• All candidates must pass a 10-panel drug screening, which includes testing for THC (marijuana), as a condition of employment.

Team Member Training:

You will receive training to perform your job on an on-going basis concurrent with business operations. Training areas will include safety, quality, continuous improvement and other job specific training that is determined to be an essential part of your job and business operations.
