Position Overview Join our team as a Part-Time Veterinarian with predictable hours and a consistent home hospital assignment. This role allows you to stay clinically engaged while maintaining balance, connection, and continuity of care. Key Responsibilities Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups Client communication and education Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery Maintain accurate medical records Pharmacy duties, including prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols Promote teamwork and staff efficiency Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge Monitor cases and attend daily rounds when possible to ensure highest standards Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels Perform other duties as assigned by Management Qualifications (Required) Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university Current State Veterinary License DEA registration maintained 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice Strong diagnostic and clinical skills Excellent surgical and dental skills Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to compassionate and high‑quality veterinary care Effective communication with medical, hospital staff, and clients Ability to elicit information, establish rapport, and explain treatments to pet owners Display confidence and reassurance when dealing with stressed or ill pets Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderately demanding tasks Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skill in examining and assessing animals Problem‑solving skills for managing a high‑quality veterinary hospital Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff Professionalism and openness to constructive feedback Business acumen concerning veterinary hospital management and finances Knowledge of ethical principles guiding patient care decisions Commitment to continuing education and facilitating learning of others Benefits Signing and retention incentives up to $50,000 Competitive salary and production bonus CE stipend Licensing and dues reimbursement Emotional wellbeing support, including Calm app access and 24/7 EAP Supportive home hospital environment backed by national resources and a strong Culture of Care Pay Range
