Ultrasound Tech

JOB SUMMARY Provides ultrasound imaging services, performing a variety of diagnostic procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to established protocols and physician orders. Operate ultrasound equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images. Evaluate sonographic images for technical quality, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety standards. Document procedures and findings accurately in the EMR system. Assist with patient preparation and post-procedural care as needed. Schedule / Shift 7P - 7A Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program. Minimum 6 months of current Ultrasound Tech experience. ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification. Experience 6+ months of recent Ultrasound Tech experience. Prior experience working for large trauma facilities preferred. Skills Proficient in performing vascular and OB ultrasound studies. Ability to perform a large variety of studies. Excellent diagnostic imaging skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. EMR / Systems Meditech Patient Population General adult patient population requiring diagnostic ultrasound imaging. Unit / Specialty Ultrasound Unit Radiology Certifications ARRT (S) OR ARDMS Floating / On Call May be required to float to other related areas as needed.
