A role with a purpose As an Island Transit Bus Driver, you are an important part of what keeps our Island community moving. Each day, you will help community members and visitors reach their destinations safely - by providing fare‑free, friendly, and reliable transportation that enhances our community's quality of life. Driver Requirements A valid Washington State driver's license with an acceptable five‑year driving record Must be able to obtain and maintain a ClassB Commercial Driver’s License (training and testing provided by Island Transit) Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and Drug Test YOU DO NOT NEED A CDL to apply - we will pay and train you to drive any vehicle safely The use of marijuana and illegal drugs is prohibited at any time while employed by Island Transit Candidates will be invited to take a video aptitude test to qualify for an interview.
