Job Title: Surgical Services / OR Tech / Surgical Technologist

Location: Weston, FL
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Services / OR Tech / Surgical Technologist for a travel assignment at a teaching acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will have recent operating room experience and be comfortable supporting surgical teams across a variety of specialties in a fast-paced perioperative setting.

Schedule

• Shift options will be discussed during the interview process
• Guaranteed Hours:
  • 36 hours/week for 3 x 12-hour schedules
  • 40 hours/week for 8- or 10-hour schedules
• Weekend and on-call requirements will be discussed during the interview

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room Surgical Technologist experience
• BLS Certification required
• NBSTSA or NCCT Certification preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures.
• Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs and passing instruments.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards.
• Perform surgical counts according to policy.
• Assist with patient positioning and room turnover.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and perioperative staff.
