Job Description

Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist I conducts diagnostic radiographic examinations independently, providing high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort. They operate imaging equipment, handle patient positioning, and prepare radiographic films according to established protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Position patients accurately and select appropriate technical factors for imaging procedures.
• Operate radiographic equipment, including portable x-ray units, ensuring proper technique.
• Restrict radiation exposure through proper beam collimation and shielding techniques.
• Prepare and administer radiopaque contrast media in collaboration with physicians.
• Develop exposed films using suitable processing methods and maintain proper documentation.
• Assist in administrative duties such as scheduling, patient instruction, and recordkeeping.

Qualifications:

• Hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Possess current New Jersey State License and meet ARRT certification requirements.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of relevant radiologic experience.
• Show proficiency in patient positioning, anatomy, and imaging quality control.
• Display strong communication skills, adaptability, and empathetic patient care.
