Attorney

We are seeking a motivated Family Law Attorney to join a growing legal team in Gainesville, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years of experience handling family law and domestic relations matters and be comfortable managing cases from initial consultation through resolution. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients while representing them in a wide range of family law proceedings. The successful candidate should possess strong litigation, negotiation, and communication skills and be committed to providing exceptional legal representation. Responsibilities Represent clients in family law and domestic relations matters. Handle contested and uncontested divorce cases. Manage child custody, visitation, and parenting plan disputes. Handle child support establishment, enforcement, and modification matters. Represent clients in contempt and post-judgment proceedings. Manage custody, visitation, and support modification cases. Handle paternity and legitimation actions. Prepare and represent clients in protective order proceedings. Assist clients with adoption matters and related family law issues. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other legal documents. Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Maintain organized case files and manage multiple matters simultaneously. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia. 1–5 years of experience practicing Family Law or Domestic Relations. Experience handling divorce, child custody, child support, contempt, modifications, paternity/legitimation, protective orders, adoption, and related family law matters. Strong courtroom advocacy, litigation, and negotiation skills. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Preferred Skills Experience independently managing a family law caseload. Courtroom hearing and trial experience.
