Post-Doctoral Associate in Polymer Science University of Florida United States Post-Doctoral Associate in Polymer Science A Post-doctoral Associate in Polymer Science position is available for graduates to work on a project on the macromolecular synthesis and polymer properties led by Dr. Austin M. Evans in the Department of Chemistry. The research focuses on exploring polymer topology to advance dielectric materials, improve mechanical performance, and understand fundamental properties of new-to-market materials. Responsibilities • Conduct experimental synthesis of polymers and fabricate polymer films and thermosets. • Perform characterization using DMA, DSC, tensile testing, TGA, and other techniques. • Analyze data to correlate polymer structure with physical properties. • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to project meetings. • Prepare manuscripts and technical reports for publication and presentations. Qualifications Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field (required). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self‑motivated with strong time management and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Enthusiasm for multidisciplinary projects. Experience with fabricating polymer films and/or thermosets. Knowledge of polymer characterization techniques (DMA, DSC, tensile testing, TGA, etc.). Benefits The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
