Tech - Monitor/EKG

Job Summary:
Perform advanced patient monitoring and electrocardiogram procedures within a hospital setting to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. Ensure compliance with certification and licensure requirements while providing high-quality telemetry services.

Responsibilities:

• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret EKG results to identify abnormal rhythms.

• Operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.

• Document patient data accurately within electronic health record systems, including EPIC.

• Collaborate with healthcare team members to relay critical findings promptly.

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with certification standards such as AHA.

• Complete all assigned modules and certifications prior to start to ensure readiness.

Qualifications:

• Hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Maintain current BLS certification.

• Obtain and sustain Phlebotomy and 12-lead EKG certifications.

• Successfully pass the NHA Certified EKG Technician exam and demonstrate proficiency in EKG interpretation.

• Possess at least 1 year of hospital-based patient care experience.

• 1-2 years of experience in Telemetry or EKG preferred.
