This opportunity is designed for someone who wants to develop business and management skills while learning the day-to-day operations of a local car rental branch. You will gain hands-on experience in customer service, sales, vehicle fleet management, employee development, and branch performance.

Working alongside experienced managers, you will learn how to lead a team, maintain operational standards, build customer relationships, and contribute to the success of a rental location. Our goal is to help you develop the knowledge and experience needed to pursue future Assistant Manager or Branch Manager opportunities .

What You'll Learn & Do

Branch Operations & Business Performance

• Learn how to manage the daily activities of a local rental car branch.
• Become familiar with company procedures, rental systems, and operational standards.
• Assist with monitoring branch performance, sales activity, revenue, and productivity.
• Help coordinate daily priorities to keep the location running efficiently.
• Develop an understanding of business operations and performance goals.

Customer Service & Sales

• Assist customers with vehicle reservations, rentals, returns, and general inquiries.
• Build customer relationships through professional communication and dependable service.
• Learn to recommend rental vehicles, upgrades, protection products, and additional services.
• Help resolve customer concerns and identify appropriate solutions.
• Develop sales techniques and learn how to support branch revenue goals.

Fleet & Vehicle Management

• Learn how to coordinate vehicle availability and rental fleet inventory.
• Assist with vehicle movement, scheduling, and readiness.
• Help maintain vehicle cleanliness, condition, and presentation standards.
• Work with fleet personnel to ensure vehicles are available for customer reservations.
• Understand how fleet management impacts customer satisfaction and branch performance.

Team Leadership & Employee Development

• Support managers with daily employee supervision and branch responsibilities.
• Assist with training and onboarding new team members.
• Learn employee scheduling, staffing coordination, and task delegation.
• Develop leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Gain experience addressing workplace challenges and supporting team productivity.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in sales, retail, hospitality, customer service, or operations
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to take initiative
