CAH-CFHC- Phlebotomist – Full Time-Day Shift-7a-3p –Req 9280 Pay Range: $17.97-$22.92 Phlebotomist: Receives outpatient specimens for laboratory analysis. Accurately transcribes orders from physician prescriptions to laboratory requisition. Obtains patient blood from outpatients (all ages). Assist in testing and other lab tests as deemed appropriate and within their scope of practice. Assists technicians and technologists in running/processing specimen testing. Answers the telephone and gives reports, schedules tests and directs calls to proper location as needed. Maintains safety regulations and cleanliness standards within the section. Follows hospital and laboratory policies. Maintain point of care (POC) compliance across all clinic labs and track staff competencies, and other pertinent tracking reports. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as necessary. Qualifications Preferably one year of phlebotomy strongly preferred and will be prioritized when scheduling interviews Must possess knowledge of age specific needs and growth and development requirements for the infant through geriatric age population served as is relevant to Laboratory procedures. Previous experience in the medical secretarial field desirable. Possession of strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills required. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must. All internal candidates must apply via our website.
