Salary The wage rate for this position will include a salary range of $65,000-$85,000 and will be commensurate with experience. Position Summary Aspen Country Day School seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Advancement Associate. This person will increase the capacity of the school’s fundraising and external relations programs by strengthening engagement, community, and philanthropy among all constituencies: current, prospective, and past parents; faculty; grandparents; alumni; and the broader community of the Roaring Fork Valley. This position reports directly to the Director of Advancement and Development. General team support: Enhance the functioning and operations of the Advancement team, which is dedicated to advancing the mission of the school through fundraising, stewardship, cultivation, community-building, communications, marketing, and outreach. Record-keeping & data management: Complete timely data entry, gift processing, and delivery of acknowledgment letters, tax receipts, and stewardship communications. Leverage the donor database (Bloomerang), to ensure accuracy, consistency, and streamlined reporting. Establish and maintain data standards, documentation, and best practices for development operations. Recommend improvements to systems, workflows, and reporting that enhance efficiency and fundraising effectiveness. Donor communications & stewardship: Contribute to the development and execution of donor-focused communications delivered by print, email, website, video, and in person. With guidance from the Director of Advancement and Head of School, help foster a positive donor experience through effective communication, recognition, and impact reporting. Execute donor stewardship and cultivation plans, tracking touchpoints and engagement. Event Fundraising: Manage events designed to cultivate donors and boost fundraising, especially the school’s Blue Green Night in May, with a focus on sponsorships, donor outreach, and auction support. Partner closely with the Lead Administrator to manage event logistics and execution. For all Advancement-related events, support constituent engagement with registration process, nametags, day-of-event support, and reporting. Other duties as assigned. Education, Qualifications & Experience A Bachelor’s degree is required. Experience working with multiple platforms in an educational or non-profit setting is preferred. Fluency or proven ability to achieve fluency in technology in use in the Advancement profession, for sample: tools for fundraising (such as Bloomerang or similar CRM), email marketing (Constant Contact), digital design (WordPress, Adobe, Canva), Google Workspace for Education. Preferred Skills and Competencies “People” skills: poise, warmth, diplomacy, and discretion. Puzzle-solving mindset, with passion for accuracy and precision; commitment to data integrity and privacy. Strong communication skills, written and in person, and ability to clearly convey complex information. Ability to manage multiple priorities. A team player with strong interpersonal skills to productively, professionally and empathetically communicate with students, parents, the entire school community and a wide variety of school constituents. This is a full-time position with health, dental, vision, disability insurance and retirement plan offerings. Occasional weekend and evening work is required for significant School events and volunteer meetings. Expectations This is a full-time position that begins in fall 2026. The standard schedule is 7:45 am to 3:45 pm, with occasional faculty meetings until 4:30 pm, although meetings may require additional time. Additionally, all staff members share day-to-day duties. Occasional evening and weekend commitments are required throughout the school year. NOTE: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
