Development Associate

Project Development Associate – Solar & Energy Storage North East/Mid Atlantic United States | Full-Time | ~10–20% Travel The Role A highly organized and motivated Project Development Associate is sought to support the development of utility-scale solar, DG and community solar, and battery energy storage projects. Working closely with Project Development Managers and cross-functional teams, you'll coordinate project activities, maintain development documentation, track milestones, and support due diligence efforts. Key Responsibilities Support the development team in advancing projects through various stages Maintain project schedules, milestone trackers, and development databases Coordinate internal meetings and document action items and follow-ups Prepare project reports and status updates Coordinate consultant engagements and track deliverables Assist with environmental, title, survey, engineering, and permitting diligence Organize and maintain project documentation and data rooms Research permitting, regulatory requirements, and market conditions Assist with landowner communications and project correspondence Support interactions with utilities, permitting agencies, consultants, and community stakeholders Help coordinate public meetings, stakeholder outreach, and project presentations Work closely with Origination, Real Estate, Interconnection, Finance, and Legal teams Assist with acquisition and transaction diligence activities Support preparation of internal and external project materials Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Studies, Geography, Engineering, Planning, Political Science, or related field 1–3 years' professional experience in renewable energy development or infrastructure projects Familiarity with project management software Understanding of solar, battery storage, or electric utility industries #J-18808-Ljbffr
