Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) for a night shift position requiring ICU experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy unit on the 3rd floor of a 368-bed hospital
• Unit staffed by 34 respiratory therapists with a patient ratio of 36 UOS
• Equipment used includes V60, Hamilton C1, PB40, PB980, Metaneb, EPOC ABG system, Nitric, and AIRVO
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Typical procedures include ABG draws, ventilator management, nitric management, bronchoscopy, intubation assistance, nebulizer treatments, and HFNC
• Night shift hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend shifts required
• No call requirements
• Floating to all areas of the hospital as needed
• No guaranteed or typical consistent schedule pattern

Requirements

• CRT or RRT required (license required if applicable)
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• NRP required for respiratory therapists caring for neonates
• Minimum 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the specialty
• ICU experience required
• CVICU and Nitric experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of overall experience
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care including ventilator management, ABG analysis, nitric oxide therapy, bronchoscopy assistance, and intubation support
• Work as part of a collaborative, team-oriented respiratory therapy department
• Black scrub attire required
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required for most states; Florida and Missouri require two references
