About The Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR professional to join our team in a key role that offers substantial responsibility and influence over our personnel processes. As an HR Specialist at McDonald’s Ehmann, you will serve as the primary contact for our restaurant managers and employees, providing expert advice on all human resources matters. Your responsibilities will span the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding and contract management to exit procedures, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies. You will manage administrative HR tasks such as maintaining personnel records, preparing reports, and overseeing employee documentation with a focus on data privacy. Additionally, you will handle complex employment law cases, conduct audits, and ensure our HR practices meet regulatory standards. Your role will also include managing accommodations for international trainees and apprentices, as well as contributing to the digital transformation of HR workflows. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a completed commercial or human resources-related qualification or degree, with additional certifications such as a qualification as an HR specialist being advantageous. You should have practical experience in generalist HR roles, demonstrating confidence and legal certainty in handling various HR issues. Solid knowledge of employment law is essential, with basic understanding of payroll processing and data protection considered a plus. Proficiency in MS Office365 and HR management systems is required. The candidate must demonstrate a meticulous, structured, and independent working style, coupled with a high level of discretion. Strong communication skills in German are mandatory, while knowledge of English is beneficial for supporting international trainees and apprentices. A proactive, hands‑on approach combined with team‑oriented thinking will ensure success in this role. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for restaurant managers and employees, providing advice on HR and legal issues. Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including contract negotiations, coordinating payroll with external providers, and handling employee exits. Ensure accurate and compliant administration of personnel data, including issuing certificates, maintaining digital personnel files, and safeguarding data privacy. Handle employment law matters such as contract amendments, warnings, and terminations in coordination with restaurant management. Conduct HR audits and maintain complete, accurate personnel files to ensure compliance with legal and company standards. Oversee accommodation management for international employees and apprentices, including the coordination of international trainee programs. Maintain HR key figures, generate reports, and contribute to the digitalization of HR processes to streamline workflows.
