Weld Technician

Weld TechnicianThis position is responsible for technical, mechanical, pneumatic and electrical support, troubleshooting and repair of all plant welding and assembly equipment.Principle Duties & Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:Installing, repairing, servicing machinery and equipment support systemsIdentifying and trouble-shooting production problemsMaintaining production lines and performing predictive and preventive maintenance.Supporting daily production addressing downtime expediently resetting faults replacing sensors, cords, caps, shunts, etc… in a timely manner.Assuring all automatic nut/stud feeders are stocked verifying correct part # and free of debris before filling machine.Assuring all sealer/adhesive is working properly, purged as required and replaced when needed.Comply with good manufacturing practices along with all safety policies and proceduresComply with all quality system procedures, assure red rabbits are ran and recorded each shift, properly communicate any abnormal event if required to appropriate personnel.Ability to understand, record, and communicate system problems and solutions.Demonstrate good attendance with the ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays.Any other duties as assigned by managers, supervisor and/or leaders to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of products, processes and work.Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities / Education & ExperienceMust be able to work in environment with welding fumes from robots.Industrial equipment electrical troubleshooting and installationA sound understanding of welding fundamentals and theory.Robot programming and troubleshooting of the following equipment: FANUC and/or ABB, MOTOMAN, NACHI, KUKADemonstrate good problem solving skillsAble to understand and troubleshoot basic electrical components and schematicsCan troubleshoot, repair, and install hydraulic and/or pneumatic systemsCan troubleshoot, repair and program resistance and MIG welding equipmentPerform basic machiningPerform required preventive maintenance checks & related data assuring any related documentation is filled out properlyComplete required logs and repair documentation assuring is legible and accurateKnowledge of safety lockoutWork independentlyExecute all job responsibilities in accordance with quality system requirements.Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs., twist, bend, squat, climb, stand and walk continuously in close, confined surroundings.Related work experience – minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing welding maintenance.Minimum education – H.S. diploma or GEDMust be able to work mandatory OT as required 6-7 days per weekWhat we offer:Medical, dental, prescription, vision, life and disability insurance; and a flexible spending account401(k) retirement savings plan with company matchExtensive safety training, new hire orientation, continuous learning and development programs and tuition reimbursementPaid holidays and vacation timeWhat do our employees have to say?
