Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion, and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.More about our teamAs a Registered Nurse in our Cath Lab, you'll join a specialized cardiovascular team supporting diagnostic catheterizations and interventional PCI procedures, including coronary stent placement to open blocked arteries and help reduce heart attack risk for patients. This Monday–Friday position supports a limited STEMI program Monday–Thursday from 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with no call requirements. The RN will circulate, scrub, and monitor during procedures and should be comfortable working in all areas of the Cath Lab alongside interventional cardiologists, registered nurses, and monitoring technicians.How you'll contributeA Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab who excels in this role:Performs all aspects of Cardiac Cath Lab patient care in an environment that prioritizes safety and minimizes risk of medical/healthcare errors.Completes initial and ongoing assessments, including hemodynamic monitoring and pre-/post-procedure evaluations.Formulates individualized plans of care; revises plans based on patient response to treatment; evaluates effectiveness daily.Assists with all Cath Lab procedures including diagnostic cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention, device implantation support, vascular procedures, and emergency STEMI response.Administers medications, monitors sedation levels, and manages patient response during procedures.Documents nursing care accurately and timely.Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, provider, patient, and family.Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and education needs.Provides patient and family education related to procedures, recovery, medications, and follow-up care.Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient, ensuring protection of patient rights.Assists in orientation, training, and competency development of staff as directed.What we're looking forCurrent North Carolina State License or Compact License with North Carolina endorsement.Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.1–3 years recent Cath Lab experience required.Additional requirements include:Requires critical thinking skills.Decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Excellent communication skills.Ability to respond to and perform effectively in emergent situations.Basic Life Support (BLS) required.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.Why join usWe believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
