Lead Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: San Luis Obispo, CA

Specialization: Operating Room (OR)

Employment Type: Travel

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Compensation: $2028 - $2444 | Schedule: 5x8 Days, Monday to Friday, 0500 to 1700

In the role of OR RN Lead, you will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient functioning of the operating room. Your leadership abilities will be vital for coordinating schedules, managing personnel, and upholding the highest standards of patient care. This role does not involve on-call responsibilities, allowing you to concentrate on providing outstanding care during your designated shifts.

• Oversee and manage daily operations within the operating room
• Ensure adherence to all safety and quality protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes
• Offer mentorship and support to OR staff
• Maintain precise documentation and records

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a comparable combination of education and experience
• Master’s Degree is preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant setting
• Experience in a trauma center is preferred
• Required supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership skills
