In this role, you will gain exposure to the production of drawings and calculations for the design of major regional highway and rail bridge projects within a world-class infrastructure team.What You'll Be Doing:Use CAD to prepare engineering plans, sections and details starting from sketches and other general design information.Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.Become familiar with various standards and codes. Apply codes to check compliance of designs with applicable criteria.What Qualifications You'll Bring:Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil of Structural EngineeringCompleted 3+ year of studies with an emphasis in Structural EngineeringMust have completed courses such as structural analysis, steel or concrete design, geotechnical engineering, etc.Previous relevant structural internship experienceProficient in CAD software such as MicroStation or AutoCADWorking knowledge of structural analysis softwarePrevious internship experience in bridge design, roadway design, or construction inspectionExperience with AASHTO LRFD or AREMA codesSecurity Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
