Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting
• Float to additional units as needed, including NICU, CV PICU, ED, Stepdown, and Med/Surg — willingness to float is required
• Deliver age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Maintain compliance with all facility float expectations and unit-specific protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio State RN license or Compact RN license — must be in hand prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience (first-time travelers considered with approximately 3 years of PICU experience)
• Recent Level 1 facility experience required
• 2 supervisory references required at time of submission; at least one must hold a manager or supervisor title
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must not have worked permanently at this facility within the past 2 years

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Closer to 3 years of PICU experience, particularly for first-time travelers
• Experience floating across multiple pediatric or critical care units
• Familiarity with high-acuity pediatric patient populations in a Level 1 setting
