Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position

Superior Balance Physical Health Therapy is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Keystone Heights, Florida. This full-time position is designed for an individual passionate about enhancing patient mobility and overall quality of life. In this role, you will work directly with patients to address their rehabilitation needs and empower them to regain their strength and confidence.

Our team is comprised of experienced professionals, including two physical therapists and a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), all sharing a common goal of optimizing patient outcomes through personalized care.

Work Environment

This position is exclusively onsite and involves visiting patients in their homes, providing a unique opportunity to deliver therapy in a familiar environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their physical capabilities, limitations, and rehabilitation goals.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practice to address specific patient needs.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions, managing a patient caseload averaging one individual per hour, ensuring personalized attention for each patient.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and exercise prescription, to enhance mobility and alleviate discomfort.
• Advise on pain management strategies that reduce dependency on medications and surgical interventions wherever feasible.
• Create and promote wellness and fitness programs tailored to each patient's lifestyle and rehabilitation goals.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout the rehabilitation process, focusing on their progress and sustaining improvements in their conditions.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and holistic patient care.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes meticulously to maintain accurate health records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary client focus for this role includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. As a physical therapist at Superior Balance, you will encounter diverse cases that require tailored approaches to rehabilitation. By emphasizing patient engagement and education, you will play a pivotal role in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• An exemplary professional record with no disciplinary actions or sanctions against the license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques alongside a comprehensive understanding of exercise physiology.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated competence in developing and executing effective exercise protocols aimed at diverse patient populations.
• Previous experience in home care settings that enrich understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this field.

Compensation and Benefits
