Phlebotomist - In-Patient

Job Summary LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist-Hospitals to join our team in Rome, NY. Work schedule: Monday–Friday, scheduled hours vary between 5:00am and 5:00pm, with alternating weekends. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 2 or more years of phlebotomy experience. Preferred Qualifications Current or prior LabCorp experience. 3 or more years of experience as an in‑patient phlebotomist. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Must be able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with reliable transportation. Must be at least 21 years old. Pay Pay Range: $17.75−$23.00 per hour . All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data.
