Hiring Department Department of Surgery-Administration Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Credentialing Specialist II supporting the Department of Surgery. Key Responsibilities:
Shift Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, health administration, finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired. Two (2) years of experience with graduate medical education, medical staff credentialing, HR, provider enrollment, or work that involves confirming work history, education, training, background, and/or reference checks, or similar experience. Preferred Qualifications Years of Experience: 3 years Anticipated Hiring Range Salary Range: $22.00 - $30.83 hourly

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the initial credentialing and recredentialing processes for clinical providers.
- Maintain credentialing records for medical staff members, advanced practice professionals, and University Physicians billing staff
- Prepare, review, and submit credentialing applications and supporting documentation to ensure timely approvals and compliance.
- Maintain provider credentialing files and monitor ongoing compliance with licensure, certification, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and track Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) reporting activities.
- Create and maintain Collaborative Practice Agreements.
- Utilize Medical Staff Office systems and other designated databases to generate reports, provider rosters, and operational data as needed.
- Safeguard the confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of all credentialing information and verification processes.
- Serve as a key point of contact, communicating effectively with providers, department leadership, Medical Staff Offices, and other stakeholders.
- Support departmental operations through additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
