Business Operations Coordinator

Summary:

The San Diego Union-Tribune is seeking a Business Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role manages daily workflows, internal processes, and cross-department communication to keep the company running efficiently.

Although this is a remote position, candidates must reside in the Southern California area.

What you will do:

• Process Management: Streamline daily business procedures and improve overall operational efficiency, maintain operational documentation, and identify bottlenecks
• Budget and Finance: Assist with budget preparation, track expenses, and prepare financial expense reports, working closely with Finance to reconcile operational records
• Communication: Act as a bridge between different departments to solve day-to-day workplace issues and align workflows, ensuring clear communication across teams
• Reporting & Administrative Support: Maintain operational dashboards and compile recurring status reports for management

What you will bring:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in business operations, project coordination, or administrative management
• Skills: Proficiency in office productivity tools and financial tracking systems, along with strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Benefits and Compensation:

The hourly range is $24.04 - $26.44. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location, education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, the Company offers eligible employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, as well as paid time off and select paid holidays (all benefits are based on eligibility).
