Step into a rewarding opportunity dedicated to supporting students’ diverse learning needs as a Special Education Teacher! This full-time, contract-based position runs through June 18, 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours per week (6.5 hours daily). You'll collaborate closely with a dedicated team and receive ongoing support while making a positive impact in an educational setting near the San Ysidro area.
The role focuses on a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) caseload, tailored during the interview process. As a valued educator, you'll play an essential role in fostering academic growth and social development for students requiring mild to moderate intervention services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and active CTC licensure with Mild/Moderate authorization required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher highly desirable
- Knowledge of IEP processes and implementation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborative work with students, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to adapting instruction to meet a range of learning needs
- Ability to maintain a supportive and inclusive environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and revise individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with each student’s goals
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Liaise with general education teachers and related service providers
- Engage in team meetings and contribute to a positive school culture
- Foster a nurturing, respectful, and productive classroom environment
