Ludico is an exciting new restaurant concept from Tribeca Hospitality Group, bringing together fresh, vibrant, and transportive European flavors in an elevated yet approachable dining experience.

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pastry Cook to join our opening culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in pastry techniques, bread production, and dessert preparation, along with a commitment to quality, consistency, and teamwork in a fast-paced fine dining environment.

Position Summary

As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and executing a variety of desserts, breads, mignardises, and specialty items while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, and food safety. Working closely with the Executive Pastry Chef and culinary leadership team, you will help create memorable guest experiences through exceptional pastry production and execution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute pastry, dessert, and baked goods recipes according to established standards and specifications.
• Assist in the production of breads, pastries, plated desserts, and specialty items as directed by the Pastry Chef.
• Accurately measure, mix, bake, decorate, and finish products with attention to detail and presentation.
• Maintain knowledge of ingredients, allergens, seasonal products, and sourcing.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, rotation, and handling of all products in accordance with food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift.
• Assist with daily production, inventory management, and prep lists.
• Work collaboratively with the pastry, culinary, and service teams to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all Department of Health regulations, company policies, and workplace safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of pastry or baking experience in an upscale restaurant, hotel, bakery, or fine dining environment preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, bread baking, dessert preparation, and food safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to go up and down stairs
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
• Professional appearance and commitment to hospitality excellence.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
