Role Description The firm's collaborative approach to case management gives Associate Attorneys the opportunity to work on cases across the firm, partnering with other attorneys and paralegals on case evaluation, legal research, and the drafting of pleadings, motions, and discovery documents, as well as preparing cases for settlement negotiations and trial. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, conducting investigations and accident site visits, reviewing medical and employment records, coordinating with experts, appearing at court conferences, arguing motions, and conducting and defending depositions and hearings. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, and requires frequent appearances in the courts in the New York City metropolitan area. Experience Required Recent Graduate - 2 Years Qualifications Strong foundation in Law, with demonstrated experience or interest in plaintiffs’ personal injury and medical malpractice. Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients, including explaining complex legal issues and options. Proficient in legal Research, including case law, statutes, regulations, and medical literature relevant to litigation. Effective Negotiation skills for settlement discussions, mediations, and interactions with opposing counsel and insurers. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for prompt admission). Strong written and oral advocacy skills, including drafting litigation documents and presenting arguments in court. Excellent organization and time management, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
