Tax Supervisor

A nationally recognised Top 100 CPA firm is seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor to join its growing tax team. Working with a broad client portfolio that includes privately owned businesses, high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, trusts, and corporations, you'll play a key role in delivering technical expertise, managing client relationships, and supporting the development of junior team members. The Opportunity As a Tax Supervisor, you will oversee tax engagements from planning through completion, ensuring exceptional client service while maintaining high technical standards. You'll work closely with managers and partners on complex tax matters, supervise staff, and contribute to the continued success of the tax practice. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates. Supervise multiple tax engagements, ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines. Review the work of Tax Associates and Senior Tax Associates, providing coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback. Research complex tax issues and develop practical solutions for clients. Build strong, long-term client relationships through responsive communication and trusted advice. Identify tax planning opportunities and assist clients in minimising tax liabilities while remaining compliant with current legislation. Collaborate with managers and partners on advisory projects and business development initiatives. Stay current with changes in tax legislation, regulations, and industry developments. Preparing and reviewing corporate, partnership, individual, trust, and estate tax returns. Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Experience using professional tax preparation and accounting software. About You To succeed in this role, you will have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA qualification, or be actively working towards obtaining your CPA.
