This role supervises the wait staff during setup, functions, and closing. Duties include staff assignments as directed by the manager. Must be able to anticipate the needs for functions occurring the next day.ResponsibilitiesClub Culture and ValuesEmbody and promote the club's mission, vision, and values in every interaction, ensuring that staff exemplify these standards in their service deliveryActively contribute to a positive work culture that aligns with the club's goals of providing high-quality, personalized service to membersTraining and DevelopmentTrain new employees in areas of station setups and serving guestsAssist Event Managers in creating service training programs and materials for staffLead and mentor staff to cultivate a positive, energetic team cultureStaff ManagementProvide support and answer questions during setup, event execution, and breakdownDelegate tasks and organize staff breaksServe as a role model to team membersMonitor service standards during events and provide feedback to staff for improvementEvent Oversight and CommunicationAssists in the development, prioritization, and execution of daily to-do listsAssist Event Managers with logistical planning, including layout designs and equipment setupsCommunicates effectively with Event Managers, Culinary, and Special Events teamsWaits tables, directs food and beverage stations, and attends to the needs of the eventsManage recurring weekly/monthly events and small events for groups below 30 peopleParticipate in regular team meetings to discuss upcoming events, share best practices, and address challengesConduct daily walkthroughs and ensure event service areas are organized, clean, safe, and sanitaryAct as an additional contact for hosts or guests to address inquiries during eventsLogistics and InventoryConduct inventory and complete ClearSky Beverage Returns and Event Logs post-functionHelps to maintain order in club storage areasHave a strong understanding of Event AV EquipmentAdditional responsibilities assigned by the Event Operations ManagerQualificationsJob QualificationsMinimum of 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant, resort, hotel, or club environmentA degree in Hospitality Management or Business is preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well in a team and provide exceptional service to members and guestsExcellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a high-paced environmentMust be able to walk and stand for eight hours consecutivelyAbility to lift and carry up to fifty (50) poundsMaintain flexibility with work schedule in accordance with business needs Farmington Country Club
