INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

Job TitleSupervisory ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible and accountable for performing the full range of supervisory responsibilities for (2) GS-12 civilians, (1) Military E-5, staff performing cybersecurity, portfolio management and service design functions.Professional Development ActivitiesYou will provide direct supervision and professional development activities for personnel.Work AdministrationYou will supervise, monitor, and administer the work of the division through analysis of workload and available resources, budget and capital planning, personnel management, information technology program management and cybersecurity compliance.Administrative RequestsYou will review, approve, and certify employee schedules, time reports, leave requests, travel requests/vouchers, training requests, and other administrative requests. Disapproved requests are forwarded to the Department Head for final disposition.Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)You will serve as the FLTWEACEN Norfolk Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and is responsible for all cybersecurity readiness and compliance issues within the command and its subordinate activities.Cybersecurity PoliciesYou will manage and recommend improvements of cyber security requirements and appropriate information technology policies and procedures that are consistent with the FWC-N's mission and goals.Vulnerability ManagementYou will track and manage action items for plans of actions and milestones (POAMs) or remediation plans, resulting from vulnerabilities identified during assessments, audits, or inspections, of FWC-N and subordinate commands.Security SafeguardsYou will ensure and document variances to confirm that baseline security safeguards are appropriately installed.Situational AwarenessYou will identify and monitor information security data sources to maintain organizational situational awarenessCybersecurity ViolationsYou will develop policies and procedures to address cybersecurity violations within FWC-N and its subordinate commands.Cyberspace Workforce ProgramYou will oversee and implement the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy's (DoN) Cyberspace Workforce program for FWC-N and its subordinate commands.Cyber Workforce MetricsYou will establish and collect complex or novel metrics to monitor and validate cyber workforce readiness including analysis of cyber workforce data to assess the status of positions identified, filled and filled with qualified personnel.Cyber Workforce Management ProgramsYou will establish, resource, and update complex or novel cyber workforce management programs for FWC-N and its subordinate commands in accordance with DoD and DoN requirements.
