Software Engineer Lead

Job Description Insight Global is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to support a large-scale initiative focused on modernizing and scaling personalized retail experiences across our client's digital and in-store platforms. This individual will provide hands-on technical leadership across backend services, store systems, event-driven integrations, data pipelines, and cloud-native platforms that support critical retail operations and high-volume transaction workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions; leading solution design discussions; guiding developers through implementation; reviewing code and architecture; supporting Kafka integrations, Cassandra data models, PySpark/ETL pipelines, and Kubernetes deployments; and overseeing testing efforts, production readiness, and post-release stabilization. This person will partner closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and business stakeholders to manage technical risks, resolve blockers, create technical documentation, and ensure the successful delivery of production-ready solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, experience leading teams in complex enterprise environments, and the ability to remain hands-on while driving projects through design, development, testing, release readiness, and production support.
