Family Office Senior Accountant
Family Office Opportunities
A family-owned and operated commercial real estate investment and development firm based in New York City is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Controller and contribute to the continued build-out of the firm’s finance and accounting function. The family has a long track record of entrepreneurial success across real estate, operating companies, and private equity investments nationwide.
This dynamic, growing real estate investment firm manages a portfolio of existing commercial real estate across various asset classes—multi-family, office, retail and industrial—as well as future real estate and real estate-adjacent business opportunities. The office is a collaborative environment where individuals wear multiple hats, are highly adaptable, and are passionate about building businesses, often requiring a willingness to take on diverse responsibilities and contribute to the overall vision beyond just their specific role.
This role is ideal for a technically strong and highly organized accounting professional with experience in commercial real estate and property accounting. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a hands-on role in supporting the accounting and financial operations across a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate assets and affiliated entities. The position will be responsible for property-level accounting, financial reporting, treasury support, systems optimization, and the continued development of scalable accounting processes as the organization grows. The ideal candidate embraces automation and emerging AI-powered tools to improve efficiency, enhance data accuracy, and strengthen financial reporting.
