Finance and Accounting Manager

A growing biotechnology company focused on advancing innovative cancer therapies is expanding its US finance team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting US operations while partnering with international finance leadership.

The Finance & Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day financial activities of the US entity, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and effective financial planning. The position will also contribute to forecasting and support collaborations through detailed financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Lead the US financial close process and deliver timely, accurate reporting
• Ensure adherence to US GAAP, IFRS, and internal financial policies
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, identifying areas for improvement
• Support budgeting and forecasting, including rolling 12-month financial plans
• Analyze resource allocation and provide financial insight for ongoing projects and partnerships
• Manage payroll in coordination with external providers and HR
• Work with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements
• Monitor cash flow and support financial planning across the business
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support informed decision making

Requirements

• Experience in biotech, life sciences, or another fast-paced, growing environment
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Effective communicator with the ability to work across teams
• Experience working with outsourced payroll providers
• CPA, ACA, or ACCA qualified
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred

• Experience with NetSuite
• Background in scaling or mid-sized organizations
