Data Entry & Administrative Clerk – Legal Services

Schedule: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $17–$22/hour, negotiable based on experience

This position is ideal for someone who is  comfortable with technology, types quickly and accurately, and can work independently without constant supervision. Because we handle legal documents and confidential client information, accuracy, discretion, and professionalism are essential. The selected candidate will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

Responsibilities

• Enter new legal process service assignments into an online database
• Process completed jobs and maintain accurate case records
• Upload and organize documents and electronic files
• Review information for accuracy and identify missing or incorrect information
• Perform light bookkeeping, invoicing, and recordkeeping
• Communicate with office staff and process servers regarding assignments
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client and case information
• Manage daily responsibilities and deadlines independently

Qualifications

• Strong keyboarding/data-entry speed and accuracy
• Comfortable with computers, online databases, email, and technology
• Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Dependable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Able to learn new software and systems quickly
• Professional when handling sensitive and confidential informatio

Previous experience in  data entry, administrative support, bookkeeping, legal services, law offices, or process serving is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong computer skills, accuracy, dependability, and an ability to learn quickly.

About the Position

This is more than simply entering information into a computer. We need someone who can  catch mistakes, stay organized, solve basic problems independently, and keep work moving without being constantly directed. Accuracy is particularly important because our work involves legal matters and court proceedings.
