We've been the trusted name in musculoskeletal health across Northern Nevada for over 60 years — and we're still growing!What would you do in this role?Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients;Review physician's referral and patient's medical records and confer with patient and appropriate medical practitioners to plan, implement, and assess the intervention program;Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation;Test, measure and record in patient's electronic medical record the patient's strength, motor development, functional capacity, sensory perception, and respiratory and/or circulatory efficiency;Analyze patient progress and data, record in electronic medical record and modify interventions to achieve anticipated goals and expected outcomes, including referring to other practitioners as needed;Educate patients about injury prevention, ergonomics, and ways to promote health;Instruct patient in use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes as well as in treatment procedures to be continued at home;Discharge patient from physical therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained; provide for appropriate follow-up care or referrals.
