Electrical Technician
This is your opportunity to apply your top-notch skills in the electrician craft and associated specialty functions to construct, repair, maintain, install, and provide service to electrical equipment and circuitry in all plant and office areas. Our client intends this to be a temp-to-perm role where you'll prove yourself, and convert to full-time-direct employment.
You'll be based at our client's corporate headquarters, supporting plant operations at 7300 West Friendly, Greensboro, NC 27410.

You'll be based at our client's corporate headquarters, supporting plant operations at 7300 West Friendly, Greensboro, NC 27410.
What you'll do
- Plan, layout and perform all operations pertaining to installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of complex electronic equipment and circuits used in any of the facility's locations; assure compliance with applicable local, state and national electric codes and statues.
- Tear down and determine extent and cause of trouble. Diagnose and remedy unusual troubles in regular and emergency situations; work involves a wide range of difficult operations requiring considerable skill and a thorough knowledge of solid-state electronic circuitry as well as electric and electromechanical and service.
- Install, maintain and repair equipment such as numerical control circuits, special; automatic controls, generating equipment, ladder logic circuitry, large switchboards and control panels, and motors for machines with intricate controls and multiple interlocking and safety devices; prepare wiring diagrams as necessary to facilitate rework for installation, for permanent records, and for changes necessitated during repair.
- Perform functions and/or observe company regulations and policies pertaining to safety, housekeeping, quality, ISO, teams activities, record keeping, material handling, material safety data, inventory systems and preventative maintenance.
- Effectively communicate with peer groups, engineers, team members, managers, and customers.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations, and complex graphical representations. Comprehensively use blueprints by visualizing 3D perspective from multiple 2D views.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Verifiable evidence of functioning as a stand-alone electrical technician , able to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues up to and including PLC interfacing (programming not required).
- Experience with low to medium voltage in an industrial environment. (575, 480, 220, 110)
- Star and Delta motor windings knowledge
- Assist with troubleshooting and repair of basic mechanical issues on machinery in the facility.
- Problem Solving skills - 5 Why, Root Cause, Six-Sigma a huge plus.
- Ability to train new employees in all electrical classifications up to and including Level 5.
