Take the next step in your career and apply today to become an essential part of the Barrett Petfood family!Day to day as a Raw Ingredient Associate As a Raw Ingredient Associate at Barrett Petfood, you can expect a fast-paced, hands-on environment where your day begins promptly at 6 AM and concludes at 6 PM, one weekday + Sat., Sun. Training is Mon - Fri 6Am - 230PM. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, inspecting, and storing raw ingredients while ensuring adherence to quality and safety protocols. You’ll work closely with your team to troubleshoot any issues that arise and maintain an organized workplace. Daily tasks may involve operating machinery, conducting inventory checks, and collaborating with various departments to meet production goals.Expect to engage in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to a culture that fosters innovation and customer-centricity. Your role is crucial in setting the stage for high-quality pet food production, making every day an opportunity to learn and grow within a supportive team.Day to Day Responsibilities Chip frozen meat blocks apartRun Meat Blocks through meat processing equipmentMix ingredients togetherAdd oils as needed per customer specificationsClean Meat Room equipment throughout shift and at the end of runs to ensure sanitation of equipment is up to standardsWork with a team to ensure product is safely processed in a timely mannerUse forklift to unload shipments into freezer and stage product for processing when neededPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSProlonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.Are you the Raw Ingredient Associate we're looking for?To excel as a Raw Ingredient Associate at Barrett Petfood, you will need a strong foundation in attention to detail and organization.
