Production Engineering Co-op

Production Engineering Co-op position supporting the design, development, and validation of manufacturing processes for medical devices at Johnson & Johnson's Danvers facility. The role involves process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and compliance with regulatory standards during a six-month assignment from January to June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and validation of manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to analyze trends and identify process improvement opportunities
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including procedures, process flows, and FMEAs
• Coordinate process improvements and production-transfer activities with global Operations and Quality teams
• Assist with process validations, capability studies, and failure investigations

Requirements

• Junior, Senior, or graduate student enrolled in engineering degree program
• Prior work experience desired; medical device manufacturing experience preferred
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP working knowledge desired
• Permanent U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available or required
