Production Planner

As a leader in the industry, we are rapidly growing and looking for a Production Planner/Scheduler to join our exciting team in a fast-paced environment.We take pride in our collaborative culture and place great value on our employees by offering an excellent benefit package, including generous time off.The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesPrioritize and Scheduling of Production OrdersSchedule Production Orders based on a daily / weekly basis across all production departmentsEnsure WOs are started in a timely mannerWork with Department Managers to ensure WO start time stay as accurate as possibleCorrect / Adjust ERP when work schedules changeEnsure Work Orders are completed and closed in a timely manner prior to shipmentResolve Work Order ProblemsEnsure issues with Production orders are being addressed ASAP to achieve expected production flowEnsure issues all employee clock in/out of work orders daily address any issues immediatelyElevate problems or priority conflicts to Materials Manager as necessary to achieve expected production flowMaintain a clean, organized and professional workspaceOther duties as assignedEssential Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience in production planning, including developing and managing schedules and utilizing planning software.MRP and ERP Systems: Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemsBi-lingual in English and Spanish preferredAnalytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize production.Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to proactively identify and resolve production issues and disruptions.Communication Skills: Effective communication, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders.Organizational and Time Management Skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the steel industry, including materials, processes, and supply chain dynamics, preferred, but not required.Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceApplication Question(s):What is your salary expectation?Are you able to pass a pre-employment drug screening?Ability to Commute:Rhome, TX 76078 (Required)Work Location: In person
