Inventory Control SpecialistThe Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of Greyson Clothiers' inventory records across all warehouse and system locations. This role owns inventory adjustments, the ongoing cleanup and maintenance of virtual warehouse locations, and the assembly order process, while driving broader system hygiene and inventory control practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has advanced proficiency in NetSuite, and is able to identify and resolve discrepancies before they affect fulfillment, planning, or financial reporting.Applicants residing in the Detroit Metro or Columbus Metro Areas will be considered first.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory AdjustmentsReview, research, and process inventory adjustments to resolve discrepancies between system and physical counts.Investigate root causes of variances (receiving errors, mis-picks, shrinkage, system errors) and recommend corrective action.Partner with warehouse, fulfillment, and finance teams to ensure adjustments are properly documented and approved.Physical Inventory & Cycle CountsPlan and lead scheduled cycle counts and full physical inventories across all company warehouse locations.Coordinate count schedules, staffing, and count procedures with warehouse management to minimize disruption to daily operations.Reconcile physical count results against system records and post approved adjustments in NetSuite.Analyze count accuracy and shrinkage trends by location; report findings and recommend corrective action.Maintain documented cycle count procedures and ensure counts are performed in compliance with company policy.Virtual Warehouse Location CleanupAudit and clean up virtual warehouse/bin locations to ensure they accurately reflect actual inventory placement.Identify and merge or deactivate duplicate, obsolete, or mislabeled locations within the system.Establish and maintain naming conventions and organizational standards for warehouse locations.Partner with warehouse operations to align physical location structure with system configuration.Assembly Order ManagementCreate, process, and monitor assembly orders to support production and fulfillment needs.Ensure component consumption and finished-goods receipts are recorded accurately in the system.Troubleshoot and resolve assembly order errors, holds, and discrepancies in a timely manner.Coordinate with planning and operations teams to prioritize and schedule assembly orders.System Cleanup & Inventory ControlConduct regular audits of inventory data to identify and correct system errors, duplicate SKUs, and outdated records.Maintain accurate item master data related to inventory, units of measure, and location attributes.Develop and document standard operating procedures for inventory control and system maintenance tasks.Generate and analyze inventory reports to monitor accuracy, flag trends, and support decision-making.Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes and system workflows; support implementation of process improvements.Assist the Director of Inventory Planning with ad hoc projects and analysis as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.2+ years of experience in inventory control, ideally within apparel, retail, or consumer goods.Advanced NetSuite proficiency, with direct experience managing inventory adjustments, location records, and assembly orders.Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reconciliation.High attention to detail and comfort working with large data sets to identify discrepancies and trends.Strong organizational and process-improvement mindset; able to bring structure to ambiguous or messy data.Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate across warehouse, planning, and finance teams.Ability to work independently, prioritize competing tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Applicants residing in the Detroit Metro or Columbus Metro Areas will be considered first.Preferred QualificationsExperience in apparel or fashion inventory management, including size/color/style-level SKU structures.Familiarity with warehouse management concepts such as bin/location logic, cycle counting, and kitting/assembly processes.Experience writing or maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs).BenefitsUnlimited Paid Time OffPaid Sick Leave13 annual paid company holidaysCompletive employee discountPaid Family Leave Program (Maternity & Boding)Company paid long-term and short-term disabilityTax Advantage Accounts (FSA, HAS, FSA Dependent Care, 401(k) & 401(k) Roth)Comprehensive Medical Coverage (medical, dental, vision) with company HAS contributionsWhy GreysonGreyson is a pioneer of innovative products and design, a lifestyle brand with emotional connections to our consumer through authenticity and dedication of service.
